In March I visited Valencia, the team from the Spanish first division. Besides visiting the training sessions and games I had a chance to talk to Curro Torres ( former player with Valencia CF ). It was nice to share some training ideas and to hear about the Spanish youth development.

During a busy summer in between running local soccer camps, I took a short break to get fresh inspiration, a different perspective and learn new soccer training methods. Spain and Germany were already familiar, so I decided on another Eurpoean powerhouse nation, the Netherlands. It’s a small country, but has a long and great soccer tradition.
Part of the bigger picture here at Volf Soccer is spotting and mentoring young local talent for prospective future development abroad in Europe. Recent case in point is local Eryk Kobza (2001), a smart, creative player with strong technically ability, who loves the game and works hard. He currently plays in the Whitecaps Pre- Residency program.
